Ferrari Roma

After dark on the Palm

A late drive around the Palm tells you more about the white Ferrari Roma than a photograph does. In slow traffic, its automatic transmission lets you settle into the journey; once the road opens up, the response from the V8 feels immediate and substantial. The Roma has the pace you expect of a Ferrari, but its character suits a measured evening drive as well as a brisk stretch of open road. Take care over steep parking ramps and speed bumps, as you would in any low coupé.

Plans that suit the Roma

This is a good choice for a couple making a day of the drive to Abu Dhabi, or for visitors who want to see Dubai from somewhere more memorable than a taxi window. White also works particularly well for a wedding arrival or a photo shoot: the shape is striking without needing a loud colour. The rear seats give you some flexibility, though this is a coupé best chosen for the people up front rather than a group outing.

Under the white paint

The Roma is a two-door coupé with four seats, powered by a 3.9L twin-turbo V8 producing 612 hp. It runs on petrol and has an automatic transmission. Those figures explain its effortless pace, but the appeal on a Dubai trip is how easily you can move between Downtown streets, an open stretch of road and an evening stop without changing cars.
