About the Mercedes-Benz Brabus 700 XLP 4x4 Adventure
A G-Class with a pickup bed
The Mercedes-Benz Brabus 700 XLP 4x4 Adventure has the upright presence of a G-Class, but its pickup body gives it a very different profile. It feels substantial on Sheikh Zayed Road, with the elevated seating position and strong V8 response you would expect from this Brabus. In Downtown traffic or a tight Marina car park, its size calls for patience rather than hurried manoeuvres.
Best when the drive is part of the plan
This is a fitting choice for a birthday, a photo shoot or visitors who want something more unusual than a conventional luxury SUV. A drive along Jumeirah Beach Road or out towards Al Qudra gives you more room to enjoy it than a day spent moving between crowded hotel valets. Take speed bumps gently and leave yourself space when parking.
The details that matter
The XLP is a four-door pickup with five seats, an automatic transmission and a petrol-powered 4.0L twin-turbo V8 prepared by Brabus. Output is 700 hp. That combination makes it appealing for a small group travelling together, while the pickup bed gives it a different kind of practicality from an enclosed SUV. For luggage you need to keep sheltered, plan around the cabin rather than assuming the bed will suit.
