Porsche Boxster

Open-air driving, on your terms

The Porsche Boxster feels at home on Dubai’s smoother roads. Its low seating position, mid-engined balance and responsive steering make a drive along Jumeirah Beach Road or out towards Al Qudra feel more engaging than the usual trip across town. Put the roof down when the weather is kind; in the hotter months, it makes more sense to enjoy the car with the roof up.

It is compact enough to feel manageable around Marina parking and hotel entrances, though its low stance calls for a little care over speed bumps. In Downtown traffic, the automatic transmission takes some of the work out of the drive.

Best for a trip for two

This is a good choice for a couple exploring Dubai, a birthday drive or a photo shoot that calls for a recognisable open-top sports car. It also suits a leisurely run to Abu Dhabi when the journey is part of the plan. For family travel or an airport run with substantial luggage, a larger car would be the more practical choice.

The Boxster at a glance

The Boxster is a petrol convertible with a 2.0L turbo flat-four engine producing 300 hp and an automatic transmission. It has 2 seats and 2 doors. That combination gives it a distinct character: close to the road, easy to place through a bend and more focused on the people inside than what they can pack.
