Mercedes-Benz G450D

A G-Class for everyday Dubai

The Mercedes-Benz G450D has the upright seating position and unmistakable shape people expect from a G-Class, but its diesel engine gives it a measured, unhurried character. On Sheikh Zayed Road it feels settled and substantial; in Downtown traffic, the automatic gearbox lets you make easy progress without fuss. Its height gives you a clear view ahead, though it is worth taking your time around tight Marina car parks and hotel entrances.

Space for people and plans

With five seats and five doors, this is a practical choice for a family visit, an airport collection or a business trip where a conventional saloon feels too formal. It also makes sense for guests staying longer who want one SUV for meetings, dinners and days out. The G-Class shape has plenty of presence at a hotel valet, without asking you to plan your day around a sports car.

Beyond the city

For a change of pace, take the paved route towards Hatta or drive to Abu Dhabi for lunch by the Corniche. The G450D suits those longer UAE journeys particularly well: you sit high, have room for passengers, and can let the diesel engine do its work at a relaxed pace. Around town, allow a little more care over speed bumps and when choosing a parking space.
