Lamborghini Urus Performante

A sharper kind of SUV

The green Lamborghini Urus Performante has the presence people expect from a Lamborghini, but it is still an SUV you can use across Dubai. Its 4.0L twin-turbo V8 produces 657 hp, with an automatic transmission and petrol engine. It feels eager when the road opens up, while the higher driving position is useful in Downtown traffic.

The Performante has a firm, purposeful feel. That suits a run along Sheikh Zayed Road more than a gentle cruise, though you will still want to take hotel entrances and speed bumps with care.

Room for the occasion

With five seats and five doors, this is a more practical choice than a low-slung sports car if you are travelling with friends or family. It makes sense for a birthday, a photo shoot or a stay that involves more than one stop each day. The green paint gives a shoot plenty to work with, even against the busy backdrop of the Marina.

For a longer drive, the route to Abu Dhabi gives the V8 room to settle into a steady rhythm. Around the Palm or Jumeirah Beach Road, the appeal is different: a striking SUV that does not ask everyone to climb into a small sports-car cabin.
