Lamborghini Urus Performante

A yellow arrival

At a hotel valet on the Palm, the yellow Lamborghini Urus Performante makes its point before anyone hears the engine. It has the presence you would expect from the badge, but its SUV body makes it more useful across a full day in Dubai than a low sports car. You can arrive somewhere special, then carry on to dinner with your passengers rather than planning the day around the car.

Power with room for real life

The 4.0L twin-turbo V8 produces 657 hp, with an automatic transmission and petrol engine. There are five seats and five doors. On Sheikh Zayed Road, the Performante feels eager when traffic opens up; around Downtown, it is still a large, conspicuous SUV, so tight parking and speed bumps deserve a measured approach.

It suits a birthday evening or a photo shoot particularly well. For a drive beyond the city, the roads towards Jebel Jais give you a better setting for its performance than a crawl through the Marina. It is a more sporting choice than a conventional luxury SUV, rather than the softest option for passengers who put a gentle ride first.
